Wow, the reunion is coming up really fast! Lots of folks are coming and I suspect some of you who have not RSVP'ed will show up too. No matter, you're all welcome! Every year someone surprises us. This year we will have several cousins from all over the country, as well as some very distant cousins.
Gretchen and I went over to the picnic area last Saturday to check it out. We found that there was some construction in the area so here is a map with some guidance on how to get there as easily as possible. Basically, forget the bridge across the Mississippi coming from the East. There should be plenty of parking once you reach the Wabun area, but if you can car pool, I recommend it. If there is any difficulty with parking, pull into the lot, find us and we'll find a way to get you there. The splash pad appears to be very popular with the youngsters, so don't forget bathing suits if you have little ones. If you like Frisbee golf, my son-in-law Chuck will be putting together a little competition. We'll try to have a couple other little games to play. But we hope you'll visit mostly.
The local family, and even some from farther away, are bringing extra food. Family groups are making plans to meet the day or night before. Marlene Slettehaugh has a nice pre-reunion dinner planned and if you are interested, please contact her as soon as possible. The Charlie Olin clan is getting together for a dinner/game night also. If you are interested, please contact Ben Hoglund. The Sandretzky family is planning on visiting Waseca after the reunion to visit their Sandretzky roots and you may contact Saliah Kako if you are interested in participating.
As always, please let your cousins know about the reunion. I have tried very hard to contact as many people as I could. You can find information about the reunion here.
